I sent an email to Kenny's several days ago and have not heard back. We definitely need a rental car. I can not walk a long distance, and we don't want to be hoping in and out of taxis. Any suggestions who else to look into? Thanks

I didn't get a response from them either, so I reserved one directly with Alamo at Alamo.com for this coming December. The rate seemed reasonable, although you have to add liability insurance, unless you are otherwise covered.

Good luck.

Best regards.

We were on the island in June and rented on the Dutch side from National. The cars are not as new as in the US but worked fine for us. Take pictures of the car to document the existing dents and scratches though

I used Avis when we were there a couple years ago, and it was smooth.

Check your junk e-mail folder - I don't know about Kenny's, but e-mail from the server (caribserve.net) for the car rental agency we use (Triple A, info provided above by Lisa) OFTEN is rejected by inboxes. Lesley (from Kenny's) might have the same issue. Don't know, but he always gets good reviews from folks that use him. I can also vouch for Alain at Triple A. Please use one of these local guys, they are great.

Thanks. I looked up AAA car service. I am looking to rent at the airport if possible to avoid moving luggage more than once, and getting in and out of cars too many times.

He'll meet you at the airport. He wasn't holding a sign, but we asked some folks standing around where the taxi drivers were, and they pointed him out. He seems quite popular with the locals. They take you to a place offsite to do the paperwork, and then off you go. The great thing is that he didn't charge extra for additional drivers, so we could all share the DD responsibilities. And his cars were already dented pretty good, so less worry about being charged for damage. :)

Booked with AAA. Thanks everyone.

Mike, when in December will you be there? We will be at The Ocean Club Villas 12/3-9, and Belair Beach Hotel 12/9-15.

Hi Ann-Marie. We will be at Simpson Bay Resort from Dec 2-9. Looks like The Ocean Club Villas are on the opposite side of the airport, but it should be easy to meet up some time during our respective stays.

I will look into AAA for a car to compare them to Alamo.

Best regards.

Mike
