Hot springs in Tuscany?

I already asked on the Marriott forum but didn't get any responses.

I'm visiting a hotel in Barga, Italy. My daughter mentioned there are hot springs near Florence. I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience going to a hot spring within a decent train ride from Barga.

Yes, she's probably referring to Saturnia. There's both a free hot springs area, and a formal spa. We visited the free area 17 years ago during a road trip, and enjoyed it! We went for a spontaneous dip - slightly upstream from the main area as I recall, with a bit of privacy since I don't think I had brought a bathing suit. I have no idea about train connections.
