So I use Redweek almost exclusively to rent my Marriott units I own but was considering trying ebay on some of them and was trying to figure out the fees. I went so far as to get travel verified and was playing around and building an ad to try to figure out the costs. The 30 day classified ad I created has a set price and "make an offer" showed a $9.95 Insertion fee and "fees so far" of $11.50.
Now when I try to figure out what my total fees will be if I rent I'm confused. I see something that references a $150 insertion fee in the help section info but I was only charged a $9.95 insertion fee.

Does someone know what the final charges will be for a 30 day classified ad?

Make believe you are going to post an auction. Put in all the extras you want like a Reserve price, or Buy it Now price. At the end Ebay will give you the summation of what the auction will cost you. Then you can adjust your cost by adding or deleting features.

I personally would not use Ebay for rentals. There's a rule that real estate auctions cannot be paid for using PayPal and that may affect you--- (But that may only be for purchases! I don't really know) Since I only use PayPal I use Redweek and Craigslist exclusively.

I've posted it and the insertion fee was $9.95. I definitely put it in the right category as required, Travel, Lodging and did a few other ebay features and it said total cost was $12 something so I posted it.

For the life of me I couldn't find where it the final sale fee details were for the classified ad so I waited on the phone for 1/2 hour and the person who finally came on the phone confirmed that there was no final value fee so surprisingly the total cost is the $12 and change for a 30 day classified ad on ebay.

Also I was able to specify paypal as the payment option.

Seems to good to be true but I followed the travel verification teams guidelines as to what category to post in and selected the options available to me.

I better call another CSR to confirm what the first one told me about the final value fee because it just doesn't seem right.
