I am looking for a website that will allow me to put in my route and then find hotels on that route. Don't want to go too far off route. Any suggestions? TIA

Use Google Maps.

I use Google Maps all the time. Can you explain how to do a route search that includes the option of showing hotels along the way? Thanks.

After you input your directions request and get the route map, go back to the field where you input directions and input "hotels". As you zoom in on various parts of the route, hotels will pop up.

Okay thanks. I do know about this feature. I have used it when planning trips.

And when you are driving and using the Google Maps route up on your phone, there is a button to search for places (hotels, restaurants, etc.) that are coming up close to your route (it won't show places behind you). And you can use voice commands so you can do this hands-free.

We have gold status in Marriott and we really want them to make this feature available on their website--I've actually written to their customer service about it. I would love to be able to find Marriott-family hotels along a route.

The mapping on their site is just so disappointingly unhelpful.
