Anyone stay at Melia Paradisus Punta Cana?

We are going Feb. 4th. and are owners. I had purchased an older melia vacation club membership resale years ago things happened and we were not able to use it so i have always rented it out. this is our first time using the membership. I read if you exchange with Rci they gave you a free upgrades to the Royal Service. Does anyone know if they still do this and do they offer it to owners too?
I asked My reservation department but they didnt know.
Any suggestions on transportation, the resort will do private transfers for $60each way. Is that a good price for 2 people?

Any suggestions on the resort and what not to miss?
