Casa Dorada Supplemental Assessment

    Casa Dorada and Pueblo Bonito Rose'
    Is anyone else being asked to pay a supplemental assessment for Casa Dorada Medano Beach? I own a penthouse week and the annual fee has risen to over $2,000 per year and now they are calling for an additional supplemental fee of $1950. I have refused to pay it and hang when they call. Interested in others people's experience.

    There is a prior TUG Mexican forum thread on this so try the search function .

    I believe some owners did not pay / with no " penalty" - as it does not list this in your contract
    with them .

    I have responded previously regarding the ongoing phone calls(I don't answer) from GBS regarding the "special assessment". The contract does allow for maintenance assessments....but here is why I have a problem These units are not only for timeshare owners/exchanges they are rented out to the general public.
    This gives GBS additional revenue but also creates additional wear on the units. I see nothing in the contract that lets them rent to the public. Here is an example on Expedia:
