This was posted on another thread:

" my MF's for one resort are being posted as janitorial and not as timeshare fees for 3X on Sapphire Reserve. It's $5K a year for our three weeks on Maui (oceanfront). I am pretty disappointed not to get 3X. "

It got me wondering how Marriott and Interval fees show up for credit card fees - what's your experience? Do you consider points when you decide which card to use to pay fees? If so, which card and how many points/$?

Have never had that problem. Always use Marriott cc to pay fees and comes through fine.

You should all be pleased that you don't have to be dependent on the UK Marriott Rewards Mastercard.
Although, it is supposed to offer up to a 4x multiplier for Marriott Overseas transactions, the company (Creation Financial Services) running it seem totally incapable of delivering this even when their own transaction detail shows Marriott in the name and $ in the currency!

I've using my Marriott cc but I am thinking in my case I may be better served by using the Chase Sapphire. I don't think it's necessarily a better deal but in the short term I need the flexibiliy to tranfer to airlines.

This year I used Marriott CC and Sapphire Reserve to pay my MF and got all points right 5 and 3 as it should be.

I used the Chase Marriott for the first couple and then I used the SPG Amex for the rest because it converts to 6 Marriott points instead of the 5.
