Gatlingburg in April?

Gatlinburg is on our list of potential exchange destinations We had a week in May booked a couple years ago and the forecast was for rain all week so I Eplused at the last minute for Hilton Head instead. There is a week available April 21-28th 2018. Is that a good time to go? We will mostly sight see in the park. Or should we wait until May? Thanks in advance for input!

Went over the last week of April in 2016 to Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort and the weather was amazing!! Warm enough to enjoy the pool at the resort, hike in the National Park, and walk around Gatlinburg. I have been to Gatlinburg several times, Winter, Summer, Spring & Fall. April is a great time to go. Far less crowded than Summer or Fall.

Thanks, I booked it. I also added EPlus in case something changes or weather forecast is bad again.

Beautiful time of year here. Bring a jacket just in case. We ran our AC one night last week and again last night. In between it was rainy and chilly.
