I do not remember the name of the Company as it was over 14 years ago. We booked through our timeshare. But if I remember correctly the National Park no longer allows Organized Commercial Bike Rides to start from the top of Haleakala. So the way I believes it works now is that the Company picks you up at your Resort between 3 and 3:30am. They take you to the Top of Haleakala for the Sunrise. Then you get back in the Vehicle and drive part way down the Mountain. Once you get out of the National Park the Vehicle stops and everyone gets on the Bikes. Remember it is cold at 10,000 feet even in mid-summer. When we did it you could still start very the top. It was stunning to ride from 10,000 to the Beach. You get back to your Resort in the early afternoon and collaspe into the Hot Tub or Bed. It is best to do it as soon after you arrive before you start to adjust to Hawaiian Time. Now we just drive ourselves up for the Sunrise. If you drive yourselves you know need a Reservation, which I believe you can do Online. Hopefully they are going for 2 weeks.
