Help me feel better about my decision

Husband and I bought a flex package and did not find this site until well after recind period. We haven't used it yet as it is an odd year and we aren't going until December of this year. I have seen lots of threads discussing how flex isn't desirable. The biggest issue I have found so far is that with our boys getting older, we really need to have a 2BR but don't have enough points for that if we want to take more than a couple days - which means no longer vacation later. So please, since I'm really beginning to regret our decision, I would love to hear from some members who have flex and are enjoying it. Thanks!

The easiest/cheapest way to acquire more Staroptions is to buy a mandatory villa on the resale market for a much lower price, and combine the Staroptions to make reservations. A "mandatory" resort has Staroptions even when you buy it on the resale market, instead of from the developer - costs far less.

There are not a lot of Flex owners on TUG, mainly because it is a fairly new product that Vistana is selling. As Denise indicated, if you find you are short on StarOptions/HomeOptions, add some more via a mandatory resale. The only drawback, if you want to combine them with your HomeOptions to book at one of the six resorts you will have to wait until 8 months out to do so instead of being able to do it at 12 months like you could with 100% Flex options.
