Hi, I "may" have an offer on my TVV property. I haven't responded yet because I don't know what to tell him about the transfer. Obviously I'd prefer if he paid those fees. Even after researching here on TUG, I am not sure where to start. I don't want to make any mistakes and just need it over and done with.
I saw LTT mentioned several times but don't see any contact info anywhere for them. I think I'd like to have a transfer co lined up before I respond.
I also see that neither Nevada or PA (where I live) have any restrictions. Has anyone here sold a TVV before and be willing to tell me a little about the process?
Thank you in advance and sorry to be such a dunce with this!

Hi, I "may" have an offer on my TVV property.
Did this 'offer' come unsolicited? Is it for an amount much above a hundred bucks or so? If either is correct, it MAY be a scam. We hear frequently from owners who receive unsolicited offers, then when they 'bite', there is a request for more money upfront, then when they pay, their mystery buyer disappears along with their money.

Just proceed with caution.

I tried a Craigslist ad just to see what happens. He offered half of my (test) asking price...cash..a few hundred dollars
Thanks for the heads up on that one!

If the buyer is paying you cash - it's likely not a scam. But do be cautious.
Do note that TV charges a $450 transfer fee. Additionally, they require next year's maintenance fee to be pre-paid during the transfer. They will then credit the maintenance fee to the buyers account and the buyer will not owe a maintenance fee next year. These fees are in addition to the transfer company fees. Hopefully you have negotiated those terms into your purchase agreement.
And, if you have points, they will not transfer to the buyer, so hopefully you didn't advertise points with the unit.

Thank you! I did learn about TVV additional requirements when I contacted LTT! Nothing came of that first offer and I have rewritten my ad to include all of this information.
I must say, this doesn't make TVV any easier to sell....
Thanks again
