Info on Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort PV

Has anyone had any experience with this resort? Could not find a tug review on it. It was our best option for a last min exchange through II. Had a nice 3 bedroom at Paradise Village but had to relinquish it. We are in the process of moving to a new state and 2 days before we were suppose to leave for Nuevo we discover the movers packed the box with our passports in the storage container that had been shipped and stored. Had to scramble and been an expensive nightmare to rebook. Would appreciate any info on the resort and the area. Close by restaurants not to miss. Thanks in advance.

I, also, will be very interested in any forthcoming information. We are Shell members and thinking about the P.V. area. We stopped into Plaza Pelicanos 8-9 years ago and it appeared to be undergoing some changes. Not impressive at that time, hard to get information from desk, no real beach. Curious about how it is now.

Were you looking at the Plaza Pelicanos or the Plaza Pelicanos Grand? They are 2 different properties.

Hmm.....good question. If one is newer, we probably saw the older one, though we walked around the grounds a bit. Are they adjacent? Our visit was 8-9 years ago, and I can barely recall what I had for breakfast this morning. Sorry.

Another question: As has been mentioned, the location is great for enjoying the feel of P.V., but there's no real beach access. Any suggestions as to the nearest/good beach location and how to access it?

Looks like there is 2 resorts between the 2. The Grand appears to have beach access.
