Has anyone been to the 2BD townhouses lately? The last posts on this resort are from 2011 and 2009 and the comments were that they were run down.

We are considering purchasing one from a friend who owns a Dec week. We have never owned a TS before but they do offer in-house (first come-first served) trades. This might allow us to stay at the home property in spring/summer since it is only a 3 hr drive away. They are also affiliated with RCI and II but have not even started to scratch the surface of my research on those two membership options yet. I just figured if we can trade "in-house" then we don't need to have a RCI/II membership until we are ready to vacation elsewhere.

Any info would be greatly appreciated (or pics if you have them). Thank you!!

We have a week booked in a 2 bedroom for the last week of August. I am planning on writing a review upon our return since there isn't a recent one. Many of the reviews & photos on Trip Advisor seem to be from the hotel part. I read about the condition of the units but we will only be there to sleep so I'm sure we can put up with it. It was a very cheap week on an RCI sale. Sorry I can't help any further (yet).

I would not take an off season week. Internal exchanges are a maybe and you still are paying full maintenance even if you end up with just an off season week. I stayed years ago on a stop over when rafting in west virginia. There is nothing wrong with the resort but nothing particularly special and certainly not anything special enough to accept an off season week there.
