Losing time by combining deposits in RCI and DVC question

I was wanting to combine deposits so that I could make a OGS for DVC. My current deposits expire in May, 2018 and September 2018. When I tried to combine them, it showed that the combination would expire in February of 2018. I would lose several months.

The trade that I want to make is for January, 2018, so it is within the timeframe of the "new" expiration. It just rubs me the wrong way for the combined deposit to expire before the original deposit.

How many TPUs is it taking to get a 2BR in Old Key West or Saratoga Springs?

At the moment, it can't be done. As far as any TUGgers can tell, 2BRs have not been deposited since November 2014.

You can see TPU values for SSR 1BRs in the Sightings forum. Be sure you are sitting down first.

And, to answer your root question: one solution is to combine then extend. This adds a fee, of course, but might be useful for high-value exchanges that are known to go in more than a year in advance (e.g. HGVC on Oahu, etc.)
