I have a 2 bd lockoff (2 1bd sides) and I'm going to be putting in an ongoing request with the hope of getting two back to back weeks. I've never done anything like this before and I am wondering what's the best way to do this. Do I just put both requests in for the full range of dates that I could go (6 week range) or do I just put each unit in for the week I would prefer.

Thanks.

Ian

You might want to call RCI on that one. Are you a weeks owner or a points owner? I am weeks but many years ago- before TPU's- I called RCI and deposited a red week and a white week for 2 weeks in Hawaii. The rep said the red week would enpower the white week in my situation where I wanted two back to back weeks. RCI was able to get two summer weeks - one in Kauai and one on the Big Island- but there was 2 days in between where we had to rent those couple of days at the first resort we were staying in (in Kauai) until we could check into the next one (on the Big Island)

Thanks Mary Ann should have mentioned that it's II. But that's probably good advice anyway. Call II and ask them the best way to handle it.

Your best bet is to put in one request for the full range and then after a match put in the other request for the two weeks either end. Or even better is putting in both for the full range and after the first match modify it. You can always cancel one if they both match at the same time and it's not consecutive.

I personally would avoid calling unless you have a specific known rep to call.

Ah got your message 1/2 hour to late. I ended up calling then and the agent set it up. Reviewing what he setup it looks like they are both setup for the whole time range.

Well you are good to go. Just make sure and check daily. On rare occasions the confirm email won't go out. You find out later that you got a match days ago and past the cancel window. A few weeks ago I noticed a match and then found the confirm in my spam folder.
