I am buying some resale points for Embarc. It is for 150 points which I understand is enough for a one bedroom, one week.
Can these points be deposited in II or do I have to use Diamond. Is there any problem using resale points. I really only want to go to one resort, Palm Desert and I want to go in April every year. I just wonder if it is easy to use the points for that resort in April.
Thank you , Pat Taylor

All of April in Palm Desert is considered "peak" time, which is the second highest in terms of Embarc points needed to book ("holiday" is the highest). 150 points would get you a regular 1BR in April, but not the premier 1BR with a terrace, or the new 1BR casitas. We generally go in March (part of which is considered "holiday" time), stay in a 1BR terrace unit, and have not had a problem reserving at exactly 11 months out. If you reserve at least 6 nights you can do so 11 months out. For internal reservations there is no problem using resale points.

As far as using II - I have an individual account with II and can deposit Embarc weeks into II (not points), but the rules for resale points continue to change so I'm not sure if you would be eligible to exchange through II. Perhaps someone with more recent knowledge will chime in. But if you're only interested in using the points at Palm Desert then you don't need an exchange company.
