Did you trade in a 2 bdm. to buy into Flex, or your first purchase was Flex?

OK - so you may have enough Flex Options to reserve a 2 bdm. at SVV, but you actually do not own any particular unit or property. You own "pure points."

Took a few minutes to find the flex crossover grid.

Just in case you wonder what is TDI, it stands for Travel Demand Index. Shoulder season has lower TDI. On the other hand, a Jan week at a ski resort will have a high TDI.

On the other hand you can never get a 2 br with a tdi of 135-150 anywhere even Williamsburg and Orlando through II because you don't have enough points in a single year. It would take 110,000 flex options. So if you normally exchange for smaller off season weeks, you can get multiple weeks vs just one but on the other hand you can never trade up to larger sizes or higher seasons without using points from multiple years.

In general, trading with II is not the most cost effective way to us a timeshare with Staroptions, because they are more expensive to buy, and you get more value using the Staroptions in Vistana, where there are higher quality resorts.

You can acquire Vistana deeded weeks at most of the Flex Option resorts for free, or nearly free, on the resale market and use them for II traders, at a much lower cost.

Many Vistana owners have timeshares with Staroptions, that they use in Vistana, and timeshares without Staroptions, that they use for trading with II or RCI.

I used to own a 2 bdm. at Sheraton Vistana Resort, but gave it away after we discovered that we don't like the Orlando weather, and I still have a 1 bdm. at Sheraton Desert Oasis that we will keep for trading in II and RCI, and spring training, and also a 2 bdm. on Maui, which we use or rent - too expensive to trade.
