Possible to Combine Ownership for Elite Premier?

I know HGVC does not allow resales to be counted toward Elite status, but my question is regarding upgrading from Elite to other Elite statuses (ie: Premier) if one of the weeks is a resale week?

If you go through the regular HGVC sales folks, they will most likely offer to apply your Resale week towards a new purchase. Normally there is a minimum amount of new money required for this (folks have reported over $10k).

However purchasing an additional Resale week through some of the affiliate resorts like the one you own in Scotland might work or the Florida affiliates. Just contact the HIGVC folks listed in your old thread or PM the TUG members in that thread (see link below).

But ask yourself the question if Premier Elite is worth the additional cost (purchase cost plus ongoing maintenance fees). Reminder the best use of HGVC points is for timeshare stays. Generally everything else they offer (cruises, etc) isn't saving you money.
