At what point is it worth to purchase insurance for TPU's? 10, 20, 30, etc. How much is insurance currently?

Thanks for any insight.

Hi, Nancy,

Here's a page from RCI.com which lists the costs and it varies based on when you book the exchange: https://www.rci.com/post-wow-en_US/...r-protection-cost.page?promo=Help51S1en_USWOW

Re. whether it's worth it to buy the coverage, I'm personally so disgusted with RCI's incessant fee increases I just refuse to do it. Perhaps that's easier for me to do because I have a chunk of TPUs now. I exchanged into 7 units last year and didn't buy the coverage for any of them.

I just bought it for a last-minute cancellation. I decided the pain of losing 16 TPUs was worse than the pain of paying $99.

I will probably get it for the same reason.

It depends on the value of your TPUs, how many more you have, and when your plans are "final". I have a calculation column in my timeshare spreadsheet that tells me now much I get back at each date, and decide from there. (I also rarely use it - but for high value exchanges that are at the end of a long trip, I typically will)
