I was thinking about buying another resort in Orlando and would like to know how booking works using RCI points at the resort you own. For example, if I purchased 74,000 RCI points at Vacation Village could I use the for more than one trip to that resort and not pay extra RCI fees? Do different resorts handle it differently? I currently own DVC and Wyndam and use their internal systems to get my best value. I would like to know more about RCI points.

You avoid the RCI exchange fee when you book exactly what you own. If you split it into 2 short stays, you will pay an exchange fee for both

Thanks. I don't like paying extra fees. I prefer my DVC with no extra fees and Wyndham carefully using my points to avoid the extra fees.

When you use an exchange company, you are working with an outside company and they are providing additional services, which is not covered by your timeshare management company. Exchange companies make their money by providing exchange services, so they all charge fees.
