We have a 2 bedroom exchange for August. Does anyone have a resort map they could post? Thank you!

I have a 1 bedroom exchange there for august.
The marriott.com reservation currently says "1 Bedroom Suite, 1 King, Sofa bed, Bathrooms: 2, Ocean view, Balcony"

The interval confirmations lists the code as MMO "HOBOV (1 Bedroom)"

We are multiple weeks owners with MVC.

Can anyone tell me what sort of room we are actually going to receive, and what room numbers we should ask for if any?

I am not sure if we get ocean view as this is specified, or whether as an exchanger we get bumped automatically to garden view and everyone else on the list gets an upgrade and/or marriott sell what should have previously been a garden view room as an oceanview instead on Marriott.com and pockets the profit.

Never cared before because we are usually skiing or in resorts where view is irrelevant in pricing terms, but now that there seem to be distinct categories I thought I would ask what will happen.

Looks like a 1BR Ocean View unit in the old (yet newly refurbished) towers. Personally, I'd request a high floor in the Molokai tower facing Napili. Even in the very back of the building, the view is incredible.

View from room 8019 (8th floor, second to last unit from the rear of the Molokai tower):

If you want to check out photos of the newly renovated rooms, check out this thread.

Here's the floorplan:

+1 on requesting Molakai facing Napili. Fantastic view for Ocean View rooms...even if further back from the ocean. Love the photo above!!!! This was similar view to our last OV II exchange last July 4th.

Here's my current view from 9015 Molokai Tower. BTW, the rooms have been remodeled and are slightly different from the layout above, most notably is the bigger refrigerator by the entry door and a twin pull out chair with a "tempurpedic" type mattress in the Master n ext to the King Bed. The Sofa bed in the living room is also the much more comfortable "termpurpedic" type foam bed rather than the spring and thin mattress type.

My Interval confirmation says:

Marriott's Maui Lahaina & Napili Villas
MM1

Unit: TOVI (2 Bedrooms)
Week: 35

Does anyone know what the "TOVI" stands for?

Napili is one of the new towers (full kitchen, w&d, etc), which is great! Also, other TUGgers indicate Naplil Island View has a great view of the West Maui mtns....as long as you are not on one of the lowest floors also overlooking the parking garage.

Enjoy!

Wonderful! We'll be sure to put in a request for a higher floor
Do you know if this resort is within walking distance to Whalers Village? If so, about how far? Thank you.

Even to Black Rock is a nice walk where people like to snorkel from the MOC but not during heat of the day. There is also a free green trolley that goes around but you need to Google for the schedule. I have never used it yet because I prefer walking on the beach close to the water and,time-wise, the trolley may take longer because it doesn't go that frequently.

Thanks! I guess I'll put in a request for a high floor to avoid the parking lot view
From the 8th floor elevator tower in Napili:

I'd think that anything above the 3rd floor will give you a good view of the island, which is still pretty damn nice to look at.
