Dave - That drive from Hilo to Waipi'o was our favorite on the Big Island - very tropical and beautiful, with lots of interesting stops.

We've done them all too. And they are all beautiful. I'm partial to the Hamakua coast, and although Lapahoehoe has a tragic story, it is a beautiful place for a stop.

I've done them all except for the Hilo one. DW and I are having a tough time deciding if we want to stay a week on the Big Island or Maui in 2019. Either that or two on Kauai like usual. We have some time to decide.
