I've read that I need to return the various books I got yesterday when we rescind which we plan to do. I got worn down and signed yesterday, knowing I can rescind. Glad I got to at least read more into the docs so now I am aware of the minimum we want to buy on resale market. My question is should I just package up the books with the rescind letter and mail it in one shot USPS certified and return receipt to the address listed? Thanks for the advice and help and rescue from an overpriced purchase!

You can send them all at once if you want. You can also just send the rescind letter certified and indicate that the books will be returned as a separate mailing and them send them back using a cheaper mailing method.

Just be sure you follow the instructions in the contract _to the letter_, not how you think it should be done.

HGVC will honor it, but the sales-weasels may try to contact you to "discuss."
Do not talk to them. If by chance you do, be firm: "I want out. We're done." <click>

Once you are past the sales-experience, you'll find that its a good-system and so flexible, it can be said to be consumer-friendly.

Thanks! I used a rescind letter format I found on here and it says I can fax it and I plan to USPS mail it certified and return receipt too. Do I also call to ensure receipt or an I overkilling it?

If you get a receipt or tracking number, I would just check online that the letter was delivered. I don't think calling will gain you anything.

I don't think calling will gain you anything.

Not only is a phone conversation of no use or legal significance whatsoever in a contract matter, calling would also unnecessarily provide disappointed salespeople (who now see their commission quickly disappearing) an opportunity to attempt to salvage the sale. Don't call!

Wow, I faxed it this morning and already got an email confirm acknowledgement. Will be sure to certified mail as well but thank you all for your help! As I do more research I hope to be joining as a resale purchaser soon!
