SPG/Marriott Platinum Member (via hotel stays and Marriott charge card)

Hi,

Wondering with the new Vistana purchase of the timeshare division, and the SPG/Marriott hotel merger, will we receive any "perks" when we check in to our timeshare in St. John since we are platinum members? We are NOT 3* elite or higher members thru timeshare purchases.

Even before the spinning off of SVO (Starwood timeshare) from HOT (Starwood hotels), and even before the acquisition of SVO by II/VSE and HOT by Marriott, Starwood platinum hotel members didn't receive any benefits. That's a long way of saying "Nope."

We got a late check out, 2 extra hrs even though they were full, thats it

i am platinum and at least get acknowledged when i check in to my time share. i have never asked for any late check out cause it's pointless but i love the perks i get at hotels. i am treated like royalty and i am now staying at my timeshare but i used hotel points and they could not upgrade my room and cannot give me a late check out. i churn through hotel points and when my kids use a stay they love that their room is bigger than their apartments.
