Trading 2 bedroom Grande Vista for Harborside

We own a 2 bedroom platinum week and want to deposit with II for a trade to Harborside in Atlantis in 2018. We can reserve a week now (January week) and deposit in order to put our request in now and get in line or should we wait for a more desirable platinum week to deposit later in the year? We would like to go to Harborside in the spring or summer 2018.

You should try a better week than January. I seriously doubt you will get that trade. I have had an ongoing search for a very long time for Harborside and haven't gotten a thing for summer.

I also think this is very unlikely, as Vistana owners get preference on Harborside. Would a 1 bedroom do or do you need a two? If you need two bedrooms, I wouldn't even bother with II and would make plans to rent.

Thanks for the replies. We can do a 1 bedroom and not too picky about the month. I remember reading years ago that January is doable but I'm afraid it will be cold there.

The months that are generally deposited are September, October, November and early December. Also a few January and early February deposits and an occasional May. Mid June through mid August are never deposited. Other months may see fairly last minute cancellations deposited with II. I would probably not request a 2 br but use a 1 br or 2 br and request a 1 br with a full kitchen. The premium 1 br (full kitchen) are almost twice as large and sleep 5 with a roll out bed as the deluxe 1 br.

2 BR rarely make it through Vistana preference even off season.

Agree with others. I wouldn't even bother trying to put in a request for a summer Harborside week. It is possible, but not probable. Is your week enrolled in DC? You could do what Puckmanfl did a few years ago to get there. Where is Puck these days?
