Hi. Does Vanderbilt Beach and Harbour Club allow day use outside of the week owned? Can you get a parking pass, bracelet, and access the beach, pool and restrooms for the day? Thinking about relocating to the area, and would be nice to be able to use it on a regular basis. Thanks

Why don't you just call the resorts and ask them?

I did call the resort and talked to someone in the office. I'm not sure she really understood day use. I did explain to her what it is, and she said they don't do that. My friends who we recently stayed there with, said they do have day use. Just want to be sure before buying. Rules sometimes change. Just thought maybe other owners could respond. Thanks

Ask to speak to the management agent, they should know.

Do you own a timeshare there? We have Day use at Orange Lake in Kissimmee, but we own a week . We had Day use in a timeshare resort in Vermont too when we owned. Good Luck!

That's why you need to speak to the RESORT MANAGEMENT. You surely can't pack a beach bag and show up there and tell them someone from TUG said it was OK.

No I don't own a timeshare there. Just trying to find one on the beach with day use in that area. I will contact the resort again and talk to management. Thanks

We asked about that when we stayed at gulf point down the street. At that time it was very limited access, and not on certain days. It is a smaller resort with a parking shortage

Thanks for that information. Most timeshares in that area are smaller, and have similar issues with parking.

My sister owns at Vanderbilt. No you are not permitted any usage other than the week you own. You are allowed only one car. You pay an additional $5.00 a day if you have a guest there during your week. Too many freeloaders were coming in and they shut down many benefits.

Thanks. I did talk with the onsite realtor, and she said the same, no more day use. I will keep looking around. Don't think too many offer day use.

Did you ever find anything? Day use is an attractive idea in Florida, but I completely understand how it can get out of hand.

No I never did. I don't think it's going to be an option in south Florida.

Thank you for the update. I figured as much, but held out a little hope... So it goes!

If you make a developer purchase at Discovery Beach Resort (Cocoa Beach) or the Resort on Cocoa Beach they both come with day use. You can also get nightly stays, based on availability, at a reasonable rate.
