I see a correlation. Unfortunately I believe the stock market will head back down . Thus, lower prices of t/s's. I'm referring to ebay prices.

I am periodically checking timeshare sales on ebay for Worldmark, Westin, Sheraton, Marriott, Four Seasons and Hilton. These days, I noticed that there are not many items for sale like before. A few months ago, or late 2008, I saw many TS for sale on ebay and could see the prices were dropping week after week. But now, there are not many sales and prices are not dropping fast. It is interesting that some sellers on ebay are listing their TS for unrealistic prices these days. I don't know any relation with stock market and TS market, but that's what I thought.

Traditionally, even in prior years when the economy was booming, there have been a greater number of timeshare sale listings on Ebay, Craigs list, and resale company websites during November and December. This is when owners receive the annual bills and are faced with paying the maintenance fees and real estate taxes for yet another year. People who have not been using or enjoying their ownership benefits, for a number of reasons, become motivated to "get rid of" their week or Points, hopefully before they have to pay another year's fees.

Once the owner pays the annual fees, they are usually motivated to get a vacation or rental fee out of it. Thus, sales fall off dramatically at this time of the year.
