David, ... I know you think otherwise, but ...
I still believe that for home resort reservations (i.e. 12-8 months) Elite status means nothing at WKORV. The timestamp means everything for available units among owners of resort weeks in determining priority. And, timestamp order for Ultra and Ultra Premium units come first and are assigned by the date the unit became Ultra or Ultra Premium.
However, once the home resort period expires, no person making a reservation at WKORV is guaranteed/entitled to any particular view, much less the view they bought, and the timestamp no longer is the exclusive determiner of what room location someone is assigned.
The non-home resort reservation pecking order does take into account SVN Elite status (coming after multiple WKORV owners and then single WKORV owners). However, most reservations at WKORV in prime weeks are home resort reservations timely made by WKORV owners and the available pool of units for non-home resort reservations (made at 8 months or less) is comparatively quite a bit smaller.
And, nobody expects much of anything anyway if the reservation is made less than 8 months from arrival. But, remember that home resort reservations may be dropped without a financial penalty up to 90 days from arrival. So, some pretty nice units might show up as available for assignment when the assignment process begins a few days before an arrival date. Salty
