Monarch Grand Vacations - Cancún Resort

Hi

Cancun, Las Vegas. I've heard that there is ongoing construction at and nearby the Cancun. Does anyone have a suggestion for room location to avoid the noise and still be in a nice area of resort?

We are taking our grandchildren and they are so excited!

Another question about the Cancun Resort

We're considering going to this resort the 3rd week of March, 2008. Will all the pools be open? I thought I read a review on another site that said only one pool is open from Nov - April. We usually travel through Las Vegas to California in March each year and it seems warm to us (we're from Denver).

Only one pool is open until mid-late April. I think they close the others around October. Wimps.
 
We just got back from staying here yesterday. All pools were open, but for whatever reason the waterslides close nightly at 6pm, while the pools stay open until 10.

We traded into here almost last minute and I would not under any circumstances recommend it to anyone. This place is a dump! Our room was awful, dark, dirty, dusty, screens broken falling off the windows, the wood blinds were rigged together from too many previous fixes, the dishwasher had more wrong with it than right, opening a Pepsi gets you more water pressure than the shower had, not enuf furniture in a living room designed for 6 people. I could go on and on and on. When we left I left a 3 page "other comments" that I'm sure they didnt want to hear.

We did call our first day to Interval and try and get a room somewhere else, they had no other 2 bedrooms in Vegas to put us. We could of left and been on our own and had our $$ and week returned to us, but we were with a family and young children who had not been to Vegas before and didnt want to drag them all over town looking for rooms, so we stayed.

If you have a choice, DO NOT PICK THIS ONE...

FYI...We were in building 4..The "YukkyTan" building...LOL
