Hi,

I have already got the week and paid for the exchange.
When should I call to make the request? Which room has the best view? Is there free wireless Internet?

Thank you!

You can make a request anytime, but they won't guarantee you anything. We were in unit 1215 in August which faces east. You can see the ocean and a couple casinos, and also have a view of the bay. There is free wireless internet but it is very unreliable. It worked sporadically for us the first few days, then was useless the rest of the week.

I stayed on one of the upper floors (30 or 31 - forget) last October while attending the Wyndham St. Thomas owner's meetings. The views were incredible from the balcony but a waist high railing was all there was separating you from 300 feet above the ground. All of the rooms have a view, except for the corner units, the view is to the north which is the bay between AC and Brigantine. The local neighborhood is old and beat up, like anything outside of the modern casinos.

Pushed a chair in front of the patio door that night, I don't think I sleepwalk but was not thrilled standing out there and figured I'd make sure. I guess I do have a fear of heights. Ironically, worked for 4 years on the 104th floor of the trade center and had no problems leaning against the thick windows and looking out.

We did have a cocktail reception in one of the top floor penthouse units. With 4 bedrooms and incredible decor, those hold up to any high end chain'a offerings.

Their biggest problem is that the two elevators are slow and stop at almost every floor when busy. Takes 10 minutes for an elevator to show up and get down from almost any floor. They sometimes use the baggage elevator for passengers when busy, but it doesn't help much.

It is a converted high rise apartment building. The first 4 floors are the valet-only parking garage, which is very convenient. The boardwalk is a block away and the Resorts Casino is right there too.

Is xx15 the best unit for requesting?
I have heard 16-19 is ocean front units. 15 is probably corner where you can get both ocean and city view. This will be my first ocean view TS and I really want to get a nice view for my wife and my mother-in-law.
If I get there early on the check in date, do you think I have better chance of getting a good unit?
are they picky on check in time? 4pm?

They will let you in the room early if it is ready, but I wouldn't expect to be able to get in before 2pm. We definitely faced east (not a corner unit), had a good view of the bay and a long view of the ocean. I may have our room # wrong, but I think it was 1215. If you call the resort and ask for a room facing east you should be okay. I would also request a room on a lower floor (10-12) because the elevators do tend to be a bit slow. We would sometimes take the stairs to our car. If you park high in the garage you won't have too many flights to walk down. The regular rooms start on floor 8...below that is restaurants, sales office space, game rooms and larger suites.

Get there as early as possible and request the rooms you want. I was told no rooms are assigned until check-in and then it's first come first served.

thank you for the post.
Can I call 1 week in advanced and request a room? They told me II will send the request 1 week before check in.
Do you know if they have Wireless internet? Or is there a place you can go within the building to use internet?
I might want to set up SlingBox and watch some TV on my computer.

See post#2 above regarding their wireless internet. It wasn't very reliable in August.
