Yes, but at GC.com, you get only 9 miles per dollar for a $1,000 purchase. Go with Macy's or Sears, and you get 11 miles per dollar. Drugstore.com yields 13 miles per dollar.

i know about the double points for using mastercard, but where can i finding the info on the spending bonus?

AAdvantage members must complete transactions with the AAdvantage eShoppingSM mall, using a valid MasterCard® card as the form of payment, between November 1, 2007 and December 31, 2007 to be eligible for the double miles bonus. For transactions using forms of payment other than a valid MasterCard card, only base miles will be awarded.

The double mile bonus will be awarded for each qualifying transaction with Barnes & Noble.com, Blue Nile, Bose, Cabela's, circuitcity.com, Dell Home, drugstore.com, eLUXURY.com, Eddie Bauer, eToys, gap.com, GiftCertificates.com, Harry & David, JCPenney, JR.com, Kodak EasyShare Gallery, landsend.com, macys.com, Saks.com, The Sharper Image, Overstock.com, RedEnvelope, Sears, Staples, and TigerDirect.com only at the AAdvantage eShoppingSM mall using a valid MasterCard® card.

Members may earn a one-time bonus based on total dollars spent with the 25 select merchants using a qualifying MasterCard® card as the form of payment. A single threshold bonus of 500 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles will be awarded to members with combined qualifying MasterCard® purchases of $250 or more before tax and shipping charges with the 25 select merchants between November 1 and December 31, 2007. A single threshold bonus of 1500 miles will be awarded to members with combined qualifying MasterCard® purchases of $500 or more before tax and shipping charges with the 25 select merchants between November 1, and December 31, 2007. A single threshold bonus totaling 4000 miles will be awarded to members with combined qualifying MasterCard® purchases of $1000 or more before tax and shipping charges with the 25 select merchants between November 1 and December 31, 2007.

The double miles bonus earned will be posted to your AAdvantage® account 12 weeks after the promotion ends (or March 11, 2008). The additional threshold bonus from MasterCard® spend will be posted to your AAdvantage® account 12 - 14 weeks after the promotion ends (or March 31, 2008). Bonus miles do not count toward elite-status qualification.

If you qualify for double or threshold bonuses, your miles will post as separate transactions. First, base miles for shopping at the AAdvantage eShoppingSM mall will be awarded as one transaction. Second, a transaction for the total bonus miles (double miles and qualifying threshold bonus miles) will be awarded with a transaction date equal to the last qualifying base transaction.

You can also double dip

E.g, if you plan on buying from Cabela's first go to GiftCertificate.com and order an online gift certificate. Then use that certificate to pay for your Cabela's order. You would then get 8 miles per $1 instead of 4. Many of the 25 merchants are on GC.com.

But you may be not be able to double your miles on the second part of the double dip, since the double miles require payment by MC. Some people said that last year that they did receive double miles whe paying with Amex, but not sure if anyone received double miles when paying with a gift card. In any event, I would not count on it as it is not consistent with the stated rules.

So giftcertifcates.com ==> cabelas ==> merchandies probably only gives you 6 miles per $. Still a very nice return if you are buying something you actually want. -- Suzanne
