It seems like Star Island is pretty good resort. Pools are warm, wireless internet is very stable, very quiet but it seems like it's full since I see all the cars parked at night.
Good tennis courts, jet ski, wave runner.
One question I have for owner is ....
"is there difference between 6 level units compared to 3 level units?"
It seems like there are about 17 - 3 level units and about 5 - 6 level units.

We own a week in a unit on the top floor of one of the 3 story buildings. In my opinion the 3 story buildings make you feel less crammed in because there are fewer units in a 3 story building. Each 3 story building (at least the one we are in) houses 11 units and actually has two halves, 5 in one and 6 in the other, separated by open space where as
the 6 stories have 48 units in each building (6 stories with 8
units on each floor). The 3 story buildings however do not have elevators while the 6 story ones, of course, do.

I like our unit because there are only 2 on the top floor and they are physically separated from each other. The 3 story bldgs are the first ones that were built and are closer to the pool or man made Lake. The units in the 3 story bldgs are also slightly larger than the ones in the 6 story buildings.

The units in the 6 story bldgs have a layout where the washer and dryer is in the common foyer area of the 3 bedroom unit (there is an A and B side and a common foyer/entrance) where as in the 3 story bldgs it is only in the B side of the unit and there is no common foyer entrance. Also I think the 6 story units have 2 access doors to the toilet of the master bedroom in the B side to allow entry from either the master bedroom or living room.

In the 3 story buildings you may want to avoid units on the ground where the air conditioners are situated close to a unit since some reviews indicated that the noise bothered them.
