I am getting ready to transfer my timeshare to my daughter, does anyone know what I need to do?:doh:

This is my recommendation as a TS owner, not at a Mod. ;)

If you want an inexpensive legal transfer to be handled by a professional, I recommend TSTransfers - they charge about $100.

Or cheaper, though a little more work, type an identical deed to the one you got when you bought it, changing the names to transfer it from you to your daughter. File it with the appropriate county authority, paying a small fee, notify the resort and pay any necessary transfer fees and you're all set.

I agree with Sheila. My mom just transferred a Villa del Palmar TS to me. It is located in Mexico and there was no requirement to record the transfer with a local government office. The resort provided the necessary transfer paperwork. We completed the paperwork, returned it to the resort with the transfer fee, and that was it.

I've transferred several that I sold for the county recording fee of $6. Most resorts also charge a transfer fee, some as low as $25.
