Does anyone have any ideas of how to find out the value of a timeshare? I am doing my estate planning and need a value? The timeshare is in Austria at St. Johann im Pongau. My unit is for sleeping 6 but that usually entails 2 rooms.
Thanks in advance.

The value is what a buyer will pay of his own free will. You can try looking on ebay for what comparable units have sold for. You can look at ads for comparables to see what people are asking--and assume that the asking prices are higher than what they will actually sell for.

WKORV, WKV, 2-SDO, 4-Kauai Beach Villas, Island Park Village (Yellowstone), Hyatt High Sierra, Dolphin's Cove (Anaheim)
Right now, most timeshares are selling for 0-10% of the original retail price...

On redweek.com I see a 1 bdm. for sell for $1 and a 2 bdm. for sell for $750. CLICK HERE

Rose says to check on ebay and other people refer to them also. My question, why are they considered a good pricing source ? I have seen items there that I own and would not part with them for that little amount of money. Prices are all over the place!
To say that it is only worth what someone is willing to pay doesn't seem to much of a standard.

How can it be worth more if no one will buy it?

It's called fair market value. That's what the IRS also uses to determine the value of donated goods.
