Needed one night in Punta Cana-non ai

Back in the fall I booked an optional AI resort through RCI and used a travel voucher to secure airfare. A few days after booking I looked at my confirmation that was on the RCI site and it had changed to All Inclusive at $160 per person.

Needless to say I was not happy and rechecked the resort on RCI and it had the little swirl still next to the resort indicating optional AI. I called RCI and they said that the resort had switched to mandantory AI in the last few days and that the swirl on the website was an error. They offered to switch me to another property and no additional cost. Unfortunately all the possibilities were at All Inclusives. I picked the least costly ones as my airfare tickets were not showing up being usable even with a change fee. Here is my problem. The resort I booked is for sat-sat. I originally had Sun-Sun. I have to pay the AI fee for the night I can not use but don't want to pay for an additional night on Feb. 9-10. I have called the resort numerous times (Grand Occidental Flamenco), and talked with a rep who always promises to look into and call me back but never does. I keep asking for the same person but its like he has forgotten all the previous calls and takes the information-says he will call back-but doesn't do it.

At this point I would just like to go to a non AI hotel and eat local for one day. Does anyone know of a non AI hotel in Punta Cana that has nearby restaurants?
