Is he or isn't he? (Ronan Farrow, or Ronan Sinatra?)

Or why should anybody but him care? If he does care (which he should if for no reason other than family health history) he can pay for and get a DNA test that would prove or disprove paternity.

Question settled once and for all.

Jim

Apparently YOU cared.

Cared enough to open the thread, and reply.

Sometimes, when you have nothing pleasant to say, you should say just that.

Nothing.

I saw that earlier today. He sure has "blue eyes" doesn't he.

I'll reiterate. It is important for every person to know their ancestry from their immediate parents back as far as they can- at least 2-3 generations (or more) so that they can develop a family health history. Whether parents/grands had a history of colorectal cancer, heart disease, diabetes, mental illness, various and sundry other ailments that have been shown to be passed along genetically.

This is an issue with adopted children as they progress down life's paths. At some point whatever information is available on their blood relatives should be made available to them.

It's MUCH more important than whether one has blue eyes.

But frankly, it's of value to the person, and not to anyone else. Me, or you included.

Jim

I agree with you Jim in terms of family histories especially as they relate to medical conditions and future concerns. That said, I think this article and story isn't "about that" so much as it is more a tabloid story of family drama. Sure it doesn't affect nor is it really the business of anyone here but people like these types of stories. There would be no Maury show if there wasn't.

Add to it, the celebrity factor, and even more people wonder about such matters.

Not sure there is a need to debate it any further than to recognize it for what it is . . . Hollywood Gossip.

I love what Ronan Farrow tweeted in response: "Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son."

In the picture, to me, his eyes appear more like his Mother's than anyone else's. The whole paternity issue is something I don't know anything about, so have no comment. I don't keep up with such things, and have given up trying to decide who belongs to whom in such things. They'll work it out, if it matters, I'm sure.

Handsome guy, though. Whoever he is. :)

Dave

Wow

I saw this today and woooow this young man DOES look like Ol' Blue Eyes!!!

I saw this earlier as well. I'm voting Sinatra.

Deb

If I was Ronan, I'd FAR RATHER be Sinatra's kid!

Ronan does not acknowledge Allen as his father - calls him his "brother in law." They have been estranged since Allen got involved with Ronan's adopted sister, Soon-Yi. Recently one of Ronan's other sisters spoke out about Allen molesting her as well...

High IQ or not, Allen creeps me out.

Jim wasn't mean at all. I don't get why your dander is up.

I don't recall saying he WAS mean.

Pompous isn't mean.

It's just, pompous.

I think you have crossed the line here. I agree with Jim and am wondering just who is the pompous one here.

I'm hardly the only one on this forum who feels that Jim is pompous just for pompous sake. But whatever....

Getting a little personal here, Laura. The only thing I did was comment on a link that was simply presented uneditorialized. We've had discussions here about those, and urged folks who choose to post links, at least present their thoughts regarding them, and invite discussion. That's why we have open forums.

If I come across to you as pompous, I apologize. If you are so offended, Laura, please put me on your ignore list. I wish to offend no one, but will not back down from who I am based on one person's opinion.

now that line is a classic if ever there was one.

ranks right up there with some of Samuel Clemens' lines (Mark Twain's)....
http://www.phnet.fi/public/mamaa1/twain.htm

almost fell out of my chair this morning when I read it online.

soooo, I'm going to get a DNA test tomorrow, just in case....

maybe there's something for me if it's positive.

probably not, tho........I can't sing a lick.

You also did not use the word pompous until just now. Which I don't think he was either.
