2014 HGVC Bulk Deposits

It's been a few years since I looked into the HGVC bulk deposits into RCI, that usually occur in April/May. Will this years bulk deposits be for 2014, 2015, or 2014 & 2015.

I'm looking to pick-up a 2-Bdrm at HHV Grand Waikikian or Lagoon Tower for a week in December of 2014.

Ron, check sightings forum, there was a Bay Club deposit recently, expecting KL soon but all 2015 weeks.

I don't know that there has ever been a bulk from Grand Waikikian. All the sightings are almost always just for 1 unit deposited at a time and even then I think I counted about 10 total deposits in the last 3 years that made it to Sightings. I think you will definitively need an ongoing search.

There have been bulk deposits for Grand Waikikian as well. They just don't sit out there too long

TIP: Definitely setup an ongoing search for 2015 weeks with your non-HGVC account. The RCI bulk occurs outside the RCI booking window for HGVC members.

Thanks. I did not know that. I just skimmed back to sightings through 2011. So the 2010 bulk for 2011 was the last reported one but they were both fairly large. I wonder if we just missed seeing the 2011 for 2012, the 2012 for 2013 and last years for this year or they all went to ongoing searches or were never deposited.

Maybe Michael C. can chime in if he saw or grabbed any. I know he has several ongoing searches for places like this.

My ongoing search matched a week at the Grand Waikikian during the 2013 bulk for stays in 2014.

Yeah, everything I'm reading indicates that the April/May HGVC bulk deposit(s) into RCI will be for 2015. Guess I'd better start giving that some thought.

March of last year, after I snagged a 2-Bdrm WKORV for December of 2013, I could have sworn that I picked-up HHV the week before from the bulk deposits. I must have gotten a RCI exchange.

I have an exchange in with RCI for HHV, which I'll keep until it's time to make airline reservations. If I don't get an exchange, I'll use my HGVC account and get 3 nites in a 2-bdrm in the Lagoon Tower, hopefully. It's for the 1st week of December, 2014, so hopefully I can get something. On the II demand chart for Hawaii, the 1st 2-weeks of December are the slowest out of the whole year, but we are talking about HHV.

I don't think you will have an issue booking HHV with HGVC as long as you are ready at 9 months. I've been watching over the past year to get a feeling for HHV and getting a unit at 9 months is an issue at Christmas/new year, summer, the gold weeks, and a distance fourth February.
