New To Timeshare Please Help

Hi everyone, I have just purchased on resale a floating 1 - 52 red week at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando Florida. I live in the UK and so I need some assistance please. Once we have closed I want to convert to the RCI points instead of weeks. I have emailed Vistana and they claim to not understand what I am requesting. I have obtained information from this site that we can convert and that luckily this appears to be able to be done via RCI on behalf of the resort and for $299. Please can you confirm my understanding is correct and how I go about it because at the moment I am not getting any straight answers from the resort and no response from RCI. Has anyone done it and provide me with an email address of the person at Vistana who helped you so I know they will understand my query and again RCI if there is someone who will understand. Many thanks. Kelly

Owners at Sheraton's Vistana may convert to RCI Points upon request. The cost is $499 USD and the request should be submitted to an RCI Points Guide at 877/968-7476.
