If I want to use a bonus week but the week has already started will I have problems checking in at the resort? I see something that I'd like to use this weekend but it has already passed the check in date? Do they have enough time to notify the resort of my arrival if I book this online or do I need to call them? Thanks :)

Just call them!

Just call them, DAE are not RCI or II. They are very friendly on the phone, and knowledgable and helpful.

You should be able to get a straight, correct, answer to your enquiry and if it is OK you should be able to complete everything for your bonus week during the phone call.

(no, I'm not associated with DAE in any way, just a happy customer!)

Helen,
Do they charge you more if you book on the phone like RCI and II?

Thanks Helen,
Had to wait til their office opened but the guy (Daniel H). was very nice and helpful on the phone. He even emailed me the confirmation right away while on the phone with him. He told me that he was going to notify Westgate right away so I got very blessed with this last minute $79 deal in Orlando. Way better deal than RCI and now that I see how easy they are to work with I might have to take my business over to DAElive. :cheer:

They only charged me $79 even though I used the phone to book. Now that is a nice perk since I always like to ask some questions before booking.
I guess this could have been done on the web last night when I first sighted the deal but since this is my first time using them although I've been a member there for years I was a bit nervous as to what to expect.

Hopefully Westgate won't pull any fast ones on me and all will go smoothly.

Thanks for the great thread. Didn't need my help at all!

As you have heard, we do not charge extra for the phone support and we do handle last minute bookings.

Thanks for using Dial An Exchange!

Got back last night from Westgate:

Just an FYI for anyone using DAE. My lessons learned.

Although they are a great exchange company not all resorts have heard of DAElive. Unfortunately the front desk crew who handled my reservation had no idea what DAE was and it was a bit of a mission to get it all straightened out. Good thing I called ahead and straightened things out thanks to the DAE agent who faxed it twice. Anyway, I'd use them again but would definetely call and confirm. Actually in all fairness I do this with RCI and II exchanges also. I'm usually arriving after hours which always makes me nervous since I want to make sure I've got a key available.

I think more of us should use DAE to ensure their continued success. :)
