Atlantic City Dining

Going to AC for a few days using our comps and staying at the Tropicanna.

Where is a cheap place for breakfast. I see Cavo Crepe and Tuggers have recommended Perry's. Both a little over a mile walk.
I dont want to spend 10.00 plus for an omlette at Seaside in the Quarter

Not sure about dinner I would like to try Carmines but I think it may be too much food for just us 2 especially not staying in a Timeshare this time and not being able to take it with us for our next day lunch.

Also looking at Cuba Libre for something different.

Will be there for my birthday and our anniversary. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. I'm not a real fancy person,....May just end up at the buffet. We've eaten at the Borgatta and Bally's buffet last year so want to try a new place.

Go to Bill's Gyros for breakfast...really! It's right on the Boardwalk just below Atlantic Palace, about a 15-20 minute walk from the Trop. They serve breakfast 24/7...it's very good, and inexpensive. I believe two eggs toast and hash browns was either $2.95 or $3.95. It's a great little place and I highly recommend their Gyros for lunch...excellent!

If you end up craving a buffet, try the one at Showboat. It's very good and on Saturday they have lobster!

Thanks for your reply, but we are back home already. Only went for 2 nights.

We ended up just having or. j in the room and some pastries which i packed in a cooler from home.

We stoppd at White House Subs on our way into AC (on Arctic and Mississippi) which I think a tugger recommended sometime ago. They were enormous, even for 1/2 a sub. DH and I still split the 1/2.

We stayed at the AP last year, but I didn't notice ABill's Gyro probably since we were in a condo. Will check out Bill's Gyro next trip.

Always thought you had to be a big gamler to get comps, but I was wrong!!!Guess they just want the business......take what they can get!!!

I will try Bill's Gyro. I hope they are good.

Did you know West Virginia just opened up a casino there with table games?

Where in WV? We have gone to Mountaineer in Chester and they opened up tables sometime ago.
And another thing about our local casinos......... we never get any perks from them as far as a free night, free dinner. Nothing

White House Subs are great! I got one that lasted me 4 days and I used extra meat to make sandwiches...they are HUGE!

Bill's is also opening a second shop right inside the Atlantic Palace on the ground floor. I haven't been there since the middle of September but they should be open by now.

I think there is 3 Casinos with table games now. It is too far for me to take the trip. Actually I have never been to WV.
I am thinking it would be a nice drive during fall time?
Do Mountaineer have free nights and dinner for outer state guests?

Free nights and comps are why Atlantic city is gaining customers. If others offer, AC would be hurting. I have heard there are few casinos in Pennsylvania.

We went to Bill's and there were so many DOLLAR bills in the place. I wish I could have taken few. I didn't see the second shop by Atlantic Palace.
My wife liked the gyros. I didn't get to taste it since she ate it all. Maybe I should have ordered two. I will try it next time.

Heck Mountaineer doesn't give free anything to their regulars Just joking, but we do go there often enough to get something but we do not. And he is tight with payouts. He would rather pay the fine then pay out on a machine. He also owns Presque Isle Casino near Erie Pa. Now that one pays better then the one in WV because PA has to pay out so much. Not table games tho, but they do have horse racing.

A few casinos in PA with The Rivers in Pittsburgh being the newest. Everybody I know of that has gone there did no good!!! The machines don't even give a little to make it interesting. Played many machines and couldn't get into bonus rounds let alone hit anything worth it.

We are better off in AC. At least we get some comps and don't even play alot. Just got back from AC and already I have comps at the Trop, Trump, Ballys and Caesars. Hardly played at Ballys or the Trump Fifty dollars or less and received comps!!!!!
