Paypal question - Timeshare Users Group Online Community Forums

So, bought something from E-bay, which I rarely do. Won the auction and went to pay with Paypal and it said that the account associated with my e-mail address was "locked out" and to call. Anyone else have this happen? I may have used the wrong pass word because it's been so long since I've used it but it seemed a little odd. Ended up creating a new account with a different e-mail address.

I have just 1 PayPal account with 1 password that works with either of 2 E-Mail addresses.

The one time that happened to me was when my account was hijacked and someone had already bought things with my money.

How do you know if the account is hijacked? I didn't have it linked to a bank account but now I'm worried. I guess I'll have to call and cancel the old account.

Paypal locks old accounts that have not agreed to changes in account terms. You can call and reactivate or open a new account as you did.

When I called PayPal they told me. In the end, my money was refunded. It took a few weeks though.
