I am currently watching a timeshare on ebay it is for Meadow lake golf and ski resort in Montana it is for either 3 weeks in a 1 bedroom or 134,000 points a year, I really have no intention on going to Montana but would like to trade for DVC or Florida and maybe a week in SC the maint. fees are 405 every quarter. Is the 134000 points enough to get me what I want? I have seen point timeshares but most were for around 50000 or too close to Disney. Thanks for your advice.

Yes, you can get a 2 bedroom at Disney in the highest season for +/-118K points. That's summer and holidays, basically. The same two bedroom is 71K points in low season, 96.5K in mid-season. There are only three seasons....

1 beds are 42.5K, 56.5K, and 71K, depending on season.

IMHO $1,620 per year for maintenance fees 134,000 is to much maintenance fees per RCI point at a bit over 1.2 cents per RCI point as it is a bad deal and will be hard to resell.
There are a lot better deals out there for under .9 cents per point for maintenance fees. This is one of those ownerships that even if you got it for free would be a very exspensive " Free bargin" because of the:( poor points to maintenance fee ratio.

I have one timeshare that gives us 53,400 RCI Points per year with yearly maintenance fees of $468 that equals a maintenance fee cost per point of .8764 and at that rate if it was for 134,000 yealy points for yearly maintenance fees that would cost would be $1,174.38 or a yearly maintenance fee savings of $445.61 per year and a maintenance fee savings of $2,228 over 5 years.

Also the lack of inherit under:( lying value as a weeks resort if you opt to drop out of RCI points leaves you a timeshare with big maintenance fees that IMHO be hard to sell.

We play around with over 300,000 yearly RCI Points but do not use as many as before.

I own a fixed week 32 at Meadow Lake in a 2 bedroom lock out villa. If I trade it, I get 99,000 RCI points. The maintenance fee is $845 a year.

While I love Meadow Lake, I don't think the ownership you are considering is a particularly good deal. I agree with the others that you can find something more reasonable. This is especially true since you aren't interested in vacationing in Montana.
