Las Vegas Over July 4th Holiday

Is there anything special about being in Vegas over the July 4th holiday? I'm considering changing our reservations from the week before to this holiday week, but I'm not sure.

Advantages? Disadvantage?:shrug:
 
Here's what was going on this year for the 4th of July so you can get an idea of what's happening then.
 
I was out there for the 4th a few years back, I watched the fireworks from the Stratosphere Tower. I am not so sure it is worth the price to pay to change your dates but for free I would certainly pick the 4th if I had the choice. Of course, depending on where you would otherwise be spending that special day. Either way, enjoy!

Or as my friend used to say about Yuma, AZ, "it's about 3" above Hell"!!! :D

The heat to me would not be the killer. I have been to Vegas a few times this summer already and July was their hottest July on record, but it's all relative, since as you mention it's all AC

The issue for me would be the crowds. Holiday weekends draw out more visitors, so longer lines etc...
