Hi, I'm looking for references for a cordless, hand held vacuum. Chevy has black interior and every little thread, crumb etc. makes the floor messy. Any users with ideas? I've central vac in the house and the long tube just won't make it to the front seat of the card.

I use a Dustbuster at home, but for our cars we use the shop vac.

I haven't found any cordless, battery powered vacuum to be acceptable. Around here, the full service car washes have free vacuums if you kind of go in the 'out' lane. I installed a skinny shop vac on the garage wall. It came from Lowes and is built for the purpose. Long hose and powerful. Only disadvantage is my pickup is too tall for the garage, so I have to carry the shop vac out to it.

I figure that saving a quarter by using my own vacuum, the break-even point will be about the year 2100- IF the vac lasts that long. :)

We use a cheap corded vacuum for the cars most of the time. It was only about $40, but is pretty powerful and came with a bunch of attachments, including a slim wand to get pretty much anywhere in the car. For cordless, we also do have a Dyson handheld, which we got from Woot on a really good special. That cordless handheld is pretty good and lasts a while.
