Looking at open season next month in Oahu and 1 bedrooms, both regular and plus are available at all 3 towers at HHV. Any suggestions as to which would be the best and what is the difference in regular and plus units.

Lagoon Tower for the best location.

Plus units are higher up and have better views.

If you are talking transfer from the airport, the Roberts bus takes you to Waikiki, to the hotels. I think it was $15 return per person last time I went. You can't miss the multiple pick up points just outside the arrival area.
Yes - open season rates are the same for all the towers.

My wife and I are staying at the Waikikian first week in March on open season, so looking forward to how it compares with the Lagoon and Kalia, which we have been to multiple times.

WE LOVE HAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kalia 1BR+ units are oceanview, 1BR are not.
1BR Waikikian can see the ocean by hanging over the balcony, looking left. 1BR+ Waikikian can see the ocean. 1BRPrem Waikikian gets a really nice view of the ocean. 1BR Lagoon can see the ocean unless you have a tree in your way. 1BR+ Lagoon gets a good view of the ocean, either Diamond head side, or marina side.
Kalia lanai's are smaller than Waikikian, and much smaller than Lagoon.
Lagoon is closest to the ocean, but the marina side overlooks the new pool, which can be noisy.

Pacman is right with both Open Season rates and transportation. For $15 each return, Robert's of Hawaii is right outside of the the terminals, it's the people in the bright yellow shirts. Although they stop at all the hotels in Waikiki, HHV is usually within the first 3 stops, and your return trip doesn't often stop either.

Another option is A8 Taxi and Shuttle
1-808-227-1111 or www.a8taxi.com
Call one day in advance with flight information and a driver will meet you at the airport for $30 flat fee each way with a van cable of carrying many people and bags if need be. They were very comfortable and convenient for us. Comming back was $28 so with tip $30. Makes sense for more than two people for sure. With two convenience may be an issue over saving a few dollars. Do not flag a taxi. They are outrageous. ;)

Great Info. Can you provide the same sort of description on 2BR units?

There are no 2BR in the Kalia at all.
The Lagoon 2BR tend to be on lower floors, possibly with tree view, 2BR+ are higher floors, therefore no trees. Basically the same comments as the 1BR, 1BR+ between the Lagoon and Waikikan.
