I was wondering if anyone has experience with online RCI reservations with points/nights. I have only done weekly reservations, and by phone. Whenever I try weekly reservations online, I get the "this unit may have been booked" message and it doesn't go through.
The other day, I was checking the "nightly" availability and exactly what I was looking for popped up: Disney's Wilderness Lodge Villas in December for a 1BR. So I proceeded to book online and everything looks like it went through; I received confirmation and it showed in my "confirmed" reservations list online (where nothing ever showed up before).
What I don't understand is, the points were not taken out of my HGVC balance (3,400 pts). Also, I noticed that in my RCI "account", there was some 20,000+ pts "through 2011". Where did these come from? I never made any RCI deposits... is this just a conversion of my current HGVC balance?
To make matters more confusing... I just tried to log in to RCI reservations and I get "this account is not active"?? I don't know if it's a related issue or not... it just won't work.
I'm thoroughly confused.
