Getting Hilton Points Gifted to me - Any help you be wonderful

I have been reading the forum posts for a while now. Thank you guys so much for the amazing information. I have learned a ton. I am very happy I stumbled on to this site. This is my first post any help would be great.

I have a friend that is willing to gift me 3400 Hilton points EOY at Orlando Tuscany Village. I have just 3 questions, any help and I would be very grateful. I was able to answer most other by reading through the other posts.

#1 - Is there First right of refusal problems if someone gifts the points to me? Has anyone had the points gifted to them rather than buying them?

#2 - Does the fact the points are from a resort in Orlando affect the trading or are all Hilton points the same in RCI and Hilton's internal exchange?

#3 - Does anyone own at or has been to this property? The Tripadvisor reviews seem great. My father lives in Orlando, so I will return there often. Just wanted to know people's thoughts.

1.) This could be an issue, but it is an undesirable contract. It has a good chance of going through without Hilton taking it back.

2.) It doesn't matter where the points are from. They will trade the same in RCI and you can book any HGVC resort 9 months out.

3.) I haven't been. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from other Tuggers who have stayed there.

So, Hilton views gifts the same as purchases at a low dollar amounts? Just to be sure I am clear. So if it goes through and a few years from I give it to my daughter as a wedding gift, they can just take it away because of First right of Refusal? That seems a bit evil.

Tuscany Village

My wife and I own at Tuscany Village. We have stayed there once and enjoyed it very much. I would not hesitate to go back however, there are so many other places to visit

You'll have no trouble using the points for RCI trips either. We've used our Tuscany property to visit Mexico, Anderson Ocean and St Martin.

That sounds great - Those are some great destinations. If this does not go through, I will be disappointed but I will just try to buy some points. I love my Shell Points, but I want access to RCI and some of the Hilton properties too.

Gift

If the seller emails Hilton to inform them it was a gift, they will waive their rofr. I was gifted a similar eoy 3400 point contract at parc soliel And that is what the "seller" did in that case.
