Competitor = Amazon

Or could be the simple fact that Amazon is a large competitor for Target in the .com market. If Apple sold all sorts of other goods and commodities it would make sense for Target to no longer sell Ipads and Ipods.
Afterall, can you buy a Wal-mart gift card at Target?

I haven't looked lately, but Amazon was doing the order fulfillment for target.com for quite a while. I remember you could log in to pay using your amazon.com info.

Not since last year - Target took its website in-house and no longer partners with Amazon.

According to this NY Times article, Target was irritated by the Kindle app that offered consumers a five percent discount on any item that they price check in a store.
