Anybody dealt with this group (World Spree is an off-shoot from China Spree), and if so any comments? Finally taking a non-timeshare related trip and booked with World Spree for a tour to Vietnam and Cambodia leaving late-February. Tried to Google reviews for them but not much out there. Heard about them in a favorable Frommer article last summer and since I am a Vietnam vet made the decision to finally go back. Don't know if this a good decision or not, just hope so.

Funny that you should ask. I responded to an offer I saw on Travelzoo in July but wanted Vietnam only and to do our own air so we could use miles to book Biz Class. They were offering weekly tours but when I called back, the week I wanted had no "takers" and I was not able to rearrange miles for earlier week. Ultimately we booked with another company. Hubby is Vietnam vet as well. But from what I could find, World Spree seemed to be reputable outfit.

Have a good trip and please report back. We will be in Bangkok Feb 8-12 and Vietnam Feb 12-19.

Thanks for the info. We originally booked a Vietnam only trip for 10 days but decided to go on the longer 15 day one which included Cambodia and a few extra things in Vietnam. I would have liked to use miles for the trip but what they offered was fairly cheap and we'll use miles for another trip we have with a club we belong to Australia and New Zealand in October. BTW, our trip to Vietnam starts on Feb 20th. Will let people know how this works out.

As promised earlier, we did in fact do the World Spree-sponsored Vietnam and Cambodia trip and it was fantastic. Not really into tours but this one worked out very well, great tour guides, hotels/resorts and a very exciting itinerary. Vietnam has changed a lot since I was last there some 45 years ago and the skyline in Saigon is starting to look like Hong Kong. Almost everybody we dealt with was friendly and prices for just about everything very low. Also very glad we included Cambodia into the trip as Angkor Wat and the other temples near Siem Reap are incomparable. Also experiencing sights and talking with people who went through the "Killing Fields" era there is very sobering. A number of folks with us also have gone with China Spree (World Spree's sire) to China and have nothing but high praise for the tours they offer. Hopefully will get to do that next year.
