How difficult is it for Shell pts owners to use their time at Vino Bella? Or to "trade into" the Vino Bella? I love the resort...currently own a 2bed/1bath at the Suites at Fisherman's wharf and don't know if its worth it to "convert" to shell pts? So many changes in so many programs these days. LOL

if you own at Fisherman's Wharf, you would be placed in the West club, so you should be able to book at Vino Bello 12 months ahead. So availability should be excellent to good, as long as you don't try to plan last minute.

However, most here would recommend you give away your ownership and buy West Club points for $1 on ebay instead of paying Shell ridiculous $ to convert. But it's up to you. Resale points do have some restrictions, I think they can't be used for SVC Collections or something like that.

Shell points clubs are given away for $1 on Ebay all the time. It wouldn't be worth paying thousands to shell to convert your week. You're better off getting the fee Shell account and either keeping the Wharf as a week or getting rid of it.

ETA: points charts. Here are points for what you own and for Vino Bello. You can see how your thousands of dollars to convert to points will actually work when it comes to booking.

Fisherman's wharf:
Platinum 1/1 - 1/2
3/26 - 4/8
5/21 - 8/19
9/3 - 9/9
11/24 - 11/27
12/17 - 12/31
1BR 1150 750 450 5150
2BR 1450 950 550 6450
Gold 1/3 - 3/25
4/9 - 5/20
8/20 - 9/2
9/10 - 11/23
11/28 - 12/16
1BR 1050 700 400 4700
2BR 1350 900 500 6000

VinoBello:

Season Dates Unit type Friday or Saturday Thursday or Sunday Monday-Wednesday Weekly
Platinum 5/21 - 10/21
1BR 1200 800 600 5800
2BR 1850 1250 950 9050
STU 650 450 350 3250
Gold 3/16 - 5/20
10/22 - 11/15
1BR 1150 750 450 5150
2BR 1750 1150 700 7900
STU 600 400 250 2750
Silver 1/1 - 3/15
11/16 - 12/31
1BR 950 650 400 4400
2BR 1450 1000 600 6700
STU 500 350 200 2300

If you have a 2bedroom platinum week at the wharf, converting it to points won't give you enough to stay in a 2 bedroom at Vino Bello, even in Silver season. You'd borrow from the next year and your MFs will be higher in points than in weeks.
